Merinda Park was formed in February of 1998 and started competing in the winter season of 1998. MPBC are one of the longest standing clubs in the Casey Area - celebrating 25 years in 2023.

The club began with 20 teams and out of the 20 teams 17 made it to their first ever finals. From the 17 teams making it to the finals, 13 teams made it all the way through to the grand final. 9 of the teams had the pleasure of winning the clubs first ever grand final.

In 2024 we have grown to 57 teams and almost 450 registered members for the Winter 24 season including our first ever all girls Under 8 team, helping to encourage more future female athletes to the sport.

Over the years Merinda Park has never in its history missed winning a premiership in all the seasons they have been competing.

As a club our primary goal is the enjoyment of Basketball and developing the fundamental skill of our members in a fun way.

Some of our achievements over the years:

2023 - Ryan Jinnette finalist for Volunteer of the Year.

2022 - Katie Basterfield finalist for Domestic Coach of the Year.

2022 - Beck Jinnette being finalist for Volunteer of the Year.

2016 - Winning Casey Basketball Association Club of the Year

1998 - U18 Girls competing against a team from China.
